Sinopsis
En la Irlanda católica actual, un joven sacerdote, el padre Greg Pilkington, llega a un pueblo a sustituir al antiguo párroco, recientemente fallecido. Sobre él caen dos temas problemáticos: el de la confesión, que es secreta en el catolicismo, incluso cuando los pecados confesados deberían ponerse en conocimiento de la policía, y el de su propia homosexualidad, que lleva en secreto.
